Confessions of Lady D. Sign : There are many types of Gowns in the market today, but not every style will suit you. It is also good to know your terminology when shopping for your wedding dress. Confessions of Missy C. : The amount of work that goes behind a typical photo shoot session is tremendous! So brides, if you are thinking that your Pre Wedding or Wedding photos is a piece of cake, think again! A lot of effort goes into styling, make-up, preparation of props, setting-up of lighting & camera equipment, not to mention the extremely delicate matter of dressing up our models (or in our brides case, themselves!).

    From the Sketchbooks

Confessions of Lady D. Sign: To a degree, I cannot understand, when BTB’s (Bride To Be) come in, browse, then remark that some of our gowns are so simple and clean. They always want more detailing, shimmers, pleats, lace and more of that. More is better in some cases but not all the time. I will leave you with this quotation, some food for thought when you are shopping for your dream gown, from a very long time ago…

A dress should never overpower the wearer. It should merely be an appropriate frame for a charming picture, bringing out the beauties of the picture, but never distracting attention from it. So few women understand this.”

~ Charles Worth, HARPER’S BAZAAR Personal Column, December 15, 1877.
